    Emilio Cavallini Fall-Winter 2012 Collection
The Season’s New Tights are Risqué Business!

For this Fall/Winter 2012 legwear collection, designer Emilio Cavallini revisits the mystery of iconic pin-up model Bettie Page.

Sensual and provocative, the new collection is an ode to the unforgettable Bettie, whose risqué “poses” in 1950s photographs were ogled worldwide. Bettie’s stardom was revitalized in the late 1980s and 1990’s, when punk-rockers and “goths” adopted the film noir stylings of the “Pin-Up Queen,” also known as “The Dark Angel.”

“Bettie Page was an artist, a free spirit, and the ultimate femme fatale,” says Cavallini. “She incited the fantasies of men… and women…around the world at a time when ‘nice girls’ wouldn’t dare to look like that…or act like that.”

Emilio Cavallini’s legwear and bodywear designs for Fall/Winter 2012 are likewise for women who dare to be different…women who enjoy taking risks with their fashion choices. Cavallini’s focus on sensuality and individual expression is explored through legwear designs that go from shocking to chic. For more than 40 years, fashionable women around the world have chosen Cavallini hosiery for its unique designs, luxury fabrications, and incomparable fit.

Photographed recently at Westin’s Excelsior Hotel in Florence, Italy, the Fall/Winter 2012 Collection catalog and video feature leggy models in sensuous poses reminiscent of Bettie Page’s iconic images.

Cavallini's Fall/Winter 2012 Collection adds another level of drama, mystery and sexiness for women who aren't afraid to be noticed. Daring and glamorous for modern-day vamps, the super-chic collection screams, “I’m not the average girl next door!” As the legwear category continues to skyrocket, Cavallini’s statement-making designs offer women creative ways to reveal their legs, express their femininity, and unleash their fashion power.

    Bettie would approve!
